Evaluatıon of effects of bupıvacaıne and ısoflurane on pancreas damage after renal ıschemıa-reperfusıon ınjury: An experımental study

Recent studies have shown that renal ischemia-reperfusion injury can detrimental effects on distant organs such as the brain, liver and lungs. In this study, we aimed to investigate of pancreatic functions.
 Materials Methods. Twenty four male adult Wistar rats were divided into groups. Sham control group animals not given any medications. Animals in groups 3 4 treated with epidural bupivacaine isoflurane inhalation. all except for sham subjected bilateral ischemia 45 minutes subsequent reperfusion. Blood samples collected before ischemia, immediately after reperfusion 2h Serum blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, amylase lipase levels measured, sections histopathologically examined presence severity congestion, degenerative cellular changes, cytoplasmic vacuolization leukocytic infiltration. Levels malondialdehyde, endogenous antioxidant enzyme catalase reduced glutathione measured tissue by using colorimetric kits.
 Results. nitrogen creatinine increased ischemia-reperfusion. There was no difference between terms levels.
 Conclusion. conclusion, led significant impairment function changes pancreas histology. These findings might be due deficiency lipid peroxidation tissue.
